IV hydration therapy involves administering fluids, electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous drip. This method allows for rapid absorption, bypassing the digestive system and providing quick relief from dehydration or nutrient deficiencies.
IV hydration therapy is beneficial for individuals experiencing dehydration due to illness, strenuous exercise, excessive alcohol consumption, or jet lag. It can also aid in replenishing essential nutrients for those with nutrient deficiencies or seeking a boost in energy, immunity, or recovery from illness.
We recommend our clients come in for IV therapy 1-2 times a month. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend two IV drips per month, as this helps balance out any vitamin deficiencies.
The duration of an IV hydration session typically ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the specific treatment and individual needs. During this time, you can relax in a comfortable setting while the IV drip delivers fluids and nutrients directly into your bloodstream.
When administered by trained professionals in a clinical setting, IV hydration therapy is generally safe. However, it's essential to disclose any medical conditions or medications to your provider before the treatment. Adverse effects are rare but may include minor discomfort at the injection site, allergic reactions, or infection.
What are neurotoxin injections, and how do they work? Neurotoxin injections, commonly known as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, are cosmetic procedures that involve injecting a purified form of botulinum toxin into targeted muscles to temporarily paralyze them. By inhibiting muscle contractions, neurotoxin injections smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Neurotoxin injections are commonly used to treat wrinkles and lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), and around the eyes (crow's feet). They can also be used off-label to address other facial wrinkles and relax muscles in the jawline or neck.
The results of neurotoxin injections typically last between three to four months, although individual experiences may vary. Over time, the treated muscles gradually regain movement, leading to the return of wrinkles and lines. To maintain optimal results, repeat treatments are usually recommended every three to four months.
When administered by a qualified and experienced healthcare provider, neurotoxin injections are generally safe. However, as with any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects, such as bruising, swelling, redness, or temporary muscle weakness. It's essential to discuss any concerns and medical history with your provider before undergoing treatment.
The recovery process after neurotoxin injections is typically minimal. You may experience mild bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection sites, but these usually subside within a few days. Most individuals can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment, although strenuous exercise and excessive sun exposure should be avoided for the first 24 hours.
